Removals Checklist

• Book removal company
• If renting give notice to real estate, if buying check settlement day
• Dispose of unwanted items. Friends may take them or the tip. We can move them
• Organise new school / preschool
• Sort through garage / shed
• Measure spaces for big furniture to fit eg. fridge
• Purchase boxes and packing material. Label what room
• Return books, videos, dvd’s, anything borrowed
• Have kids and pets minded moving day
• Change address for mail. Redirect mail
• Transfer services-internet, phones, gas, electricity, water, lawn mowing, Foxtel
• Pack essentials box. Medicine, keys, first aid, toiletries, coffee, phone charger for first night
• Arrange cleaning including oven of your old home
• Disassemble and re assemble any items to save time or let movers do it
• Arrange parking / access for trucks
• Meet and greet new neighbours and unpack
